Candidate Statement (reproduced exactly as submitted)

It has been a wonderful honor serving the residents of Homer the past three years. I have taken my commitment to the community seriously. I have decided to run for re-election because I feel that there is meaningful work to be accomplished.

Some accomplishments in my current term:

1. Supporting private public partnerships like the SPARC facility
2. Worked successfully in bringing a reasonable and affordable police station to ballot
3. Completing a North-South corridor with sidewalks on the Greatland St. extension
4. Advocating fiscal responsibility through transparency in all associated costs to projects
5. Encouraging community dialog and action in response to opioid crisis in Homer
6. Helped the Port and Harbor enact additional revenue source
7. Making sure that sustainability is considered in our budgeting process

The past couple of years have produced some good economic indicators. Moving forward we still have fiscal hurdles that will be upon us before we know it. It will take vigilance and political will to navigate those without increasing our tax burden. I am committed to that end.
