My name is Raymond Walker and I would appreciate your vote for Homer City Council Tuesday, October 6th.
My wife, Coletta and I have been living the dream in Homer for the past 30 years raising our three children, running a bed & breakfast, and working across most regions of Alaska. We now have 5 beautiful grandchildren and enjoy being a part of their daily lives. My area of expertise is in construction management projects. I have been busy improving the living standards in rural Alaska villages, by building water and sewer treatment plants, museums, clinics and doing power plant and school upgrades. Working and hiring locals in rural Alaska, has given me an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and assist in changing diversities in different cultures, ultimately showing me that every person has value and a voice.
As a grandfather to children who will someday be leaders in our community, I want to show them the strength of leadership and how to function as a responsible citizen. Instead of telling my grandchildren to be responsible and active in our community, I will lead them into the future. Thank you for your support!
