Deep Water Dock Fender Repair
City of Homer, Alaska

**ADDENDUM 1 Issued 03/01/12

Sealed bids for the construction of Deep Water Dock Fender Repair project will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, City of Homer, 491 East Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska, until 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 15, 2012, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The time of receipt will be determined by the City Clerk’s time stamp. Bids received after the time fixed for the receipt of the bids shall not be considered. Bidders are required to be on the City’s plan holder’s list for their bid to be considered. To get on the list and to access bid documents contact: City Clerk, 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska 99603, (907) 235-3130.

The repair work on the two corner fenders includes, but is not limited to the following:

Provide all labor equipment and materials necessary to fabricate and drive one new fender pin pile; remove two existing fender bearing plates; install eight new threaded anchor bolts into concrete dock face; install four new fender bearing plates, lift and place repaired fender on to pin pile; and install new fender bumper units.

A pre-bid conference will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the approach to the Deep Water Dock to answer any questions bidders and subcontractors may have.
Plans and specifications may be downloaded from the City of Homer’s website at no charge or at the office of the City Clerk upon payment of $75 per set ($110 for overnight delivery). City of Homer Standard Construction Specifications 2000 Edition can be obtained for $50.00. All fees are non-refundable. The City of Homer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or informalities in the bids, and to award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder.
