ITB Notice of Sale - Sailing Vessel Tarwathie

NOTICE OF SALE

Notice is hereby given that the 27’ sailing vessel Tarwathie, AK 6976K, located on A float at the Homer Small Boat Harbor in Homer, Alaska, will be sold by the City of Homer to the highest bidder as is, together with its equipment, gear, furniture, apparel, fixtures, tackle, boats, machinery, anchors and all appurtenances. The Tarwathie is a 27’ fiberglass recreational sailboat with a 7 1/2’ beam and a 4’ draft. 

A bidder’s packet and bidding instructions are available at Homer City Hall, Office of the City Clerk, 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer, AK 99603, phone (907) 235-3130.  Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The time of receipt will be determined by the City Clerk’s time stamp.  Bids received after the time fixed for the receipt of the bids shall not be considered.  Bidders are required to be on the City’s plan holder’s list for their bid to be considered.  All bidders must submit a City of Homer Plan Holders Registration form to be on the Plan Holders List and to be considered responsive.  Plan holder registration forms are available online at http://www.cityofhomer-ak.gov/rfps

The sale will be to the highest bidder. Payments must be made in cash, certified check or cashier’s check.  There is a minimum acceptable bid of $1,130.95.  Vessel must be removed from city property within 7 calendar days of receipt of quit claim and Bill of Sale, or can be in the Homer Harbor upon execution of a moorage agreement, payment of moorage and proof of insurance.  The City of Homer reserves the right to reject all bids.

The winning bidder will receive a Bill of Sale and a quit claim for the City’s ownership interest in the Vessel.  The winning bidder will take responsibility for any and all liens currently encumbering title to the Vessel.  The City makes no guarantees as to the title of the Vessel and/or the existence of any liens, claims, maritime liens, rights in rem, right of redemption or encumbrances whatsoever.
