Candidate's Statement:
I was born and raised in Ohio where I met my wife of 24 years.  We co-owned a family book business with my father for over 20 years.

We moved to Homer in 2015 and discovered that this was a great community to raise our family in.  The close-knit, small business focus of Homer was exactly what we were looking for.

I have spent the last 7 years working as a commercial fisherman.  In the off season I spend time mentoring people that would like to have their own small business as well as doing construction and repairs.  Four years ago we started the Homer Native Youth Olympics team which has allowed us to teach the games and culture in the local schools.

I believe that Homer is a strong community because of the involvement of small business owners and others concerned about local issues.  My goal in joining City Council is to bring my business experience, problem solving skills, fiscal trustworthiness, and care for our community to keep Homer a great place to raise your family.
