The City of Homer and Kenai Peninsula Borough Regular Municipal Elections will be held
Tuesday, October 3, 2023.   

 

Polls will open Tuesday, October 3rd at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. at the following polling places:

  • Homer No. 1, 31-350: City Hall Cowles Council Chambers, downstairs in the City Hall Building located at 491 E. Pioneer Avenue. Enter the building downstairs off Kachemak Way.
  • Homer No. 2, 06-240: Homer Methodist Church located at 770 East End Road.

The purpose of the City of Homer Municipal election is to elect two City Council Members for a term of three years each.  City of Homer 2023 Candidacy Filings can be found here.

The Borough-wide Voter Pamphlet with Sample Ballots and Candidate Information can be found here, or printed copies are available at the Clerk’s Office at Homer City Hall and the Borough Annex Office at 638 East Pioneer Avenue. The KPB Annex office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Going to be out of town or unavailable on Election Day? You can still vote!

You can submit an application to receive your ballot by mail or electronic transmission to the the City Clerk's Office for all elections. By Mail applications deadlines can be found here.

Or you can vote absentee in person. In person absentee voting is available at Homer City Hall, 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, September 18 through October 2, 2023.

Special Needs Voting:  A registered voter who is unable to go to the polls due to age, serious illness or a disability, may have a personal representative pick up and deliver a ballot to them during the absentee in person voting period or on Election Day at the polling place.
