Don't know if you are registered?

You can check your status on the State of Alaska Division of Elections MY VOTER INFORMATION

Need to register?  Need to update your registration?

You can do both using the State of Alaska's ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION system.

You can complete the process entirely online if you have a valid Alaska driver's license or state ID card. The information you enter when registering must match the information on your Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record. Your signature will come from your DMV record.

If you do not have a valid Alaska driver's license or state ID, or your information cannot be validated, you can opt to register using a paper registration form.  Download the form (or use the form below), fill it out and bring it in to the City Clerk's Office or return to the Division of Elections with a valid form of identification.

Once your form is processed, a voter registration card will be mailed to you. This may take up to four weeks to arrive.

Did I automatically register when I signed up for my Permanent Fund Dividend?

Last year Alaska voters approved a ballot measure that allows eligible individuals to be automatically registered to vote when they apply for a Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD), unless they opt-out.

The Division of Elections is now required to send a notice to voters whose address on their PFD application is different than their voter record address, or to applicants who are not currently registered to vote. This mailer will notify them that the information on their PFD application will be used to update their voter registration or register them unless they ‘opt-out’ within 30 days.

For 2017, the opt-out and address change mailer will be sent to Alaskans who applied for their PFD from March 1, 2017 (effective date) to March 31, 2017.
