Candidate Statement:
Homer is home. My family and I moved here for the outdoors, the small-town life, and the neighbors who make this town worth showing up for. We spend our free time hunting, fishing, and hiking across this corner of Alaska — it's why we stay, and it's why I want to serve.

Hard work has defined my life. From college through my service as a U.S. Naval  Flight Officer, I learned discipline, accountability, and how to get the job done. That same work ethic carries into running a local small business with my wife and serving our community as a volunteer EMT and Firefighter with the Homer Volunteer Fire Department.

My education at the United States Merchant Marine Academy gave me a real understanding of our working waterfront — the harbor and the marine businesses on the Spit that families depend on. I want to protect those jobs and help local businesses grow so our kids can build a life here.

On the Council, I'll focus on the basics: safe roads, reliable water and sewer, plowed snow, a well-run harbor, and a budget that respects taxpayers — responsible government for the people who live here.
