Candidate Statement:

My wife and I fell in love with Homer, so much so that we decided to "retire" here nearly 6 years ago. Homer has a diverse population most of which are very busy working, raising families, caring for elders, and community activities - they don't have time to participate in City governance. These people look to the City to watch out for their interests, make good decisions, and to protect them. 

I have demonstrated leadership abilities in large organizations and complex operating environments and believe I can make a difference. I promise to focus on the Core Function of city government consistent with the City of Homer Mission statement:

The City of Homer exists to provide quality services to all its citizens; to respond in the most appropriate, open, and fiscally responsible manner possible to citizens' needs and concerns; and to do so through the active participation of those citizens. These services include police, fire, emergency medical service, parks, cemeteries, animal control, street maintenance, water, wastewater collection and treatment, port and harbor, airport terminal, library, planning and general administration.
