Permanent Fund Committee Meeting Minutes December 13, 2007
Session 07-07 a Regular Meeting of the Permanent Fund Committee was called to order at 6:05 p.m. on December 13, 2007 by Dennis Novak at the Homer City Hall Cowles Council Chambers located at 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska.
PRESENT: COMMITTEE MEMBERS: JO JOHNSON, MATT NORTH, DENNIS NOVAK, BETH WYTHE
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved by consensus of the Committee.
PUBLIC COMMENTS REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA
No members of the public were present.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Review Permanent Fund Request for Proposals
The Committee reviewed Request for Proposals and short-listed proposers:
Alaska Permanent Capital Management
Washington Capital Management, Inc.
UBS Financial Services, Inc.
WYTHE/NOVAK – MOVED TO SCHEDULE INTERVIEWS WITH THE SHORT LIST PROPOSERS.
It was decided interviews would be scheduled during the daytime, allowing one hour per proposer.
VOTE: YES. NON OBJECTION. UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
Motion carried.
WYTHE/JOHNSON – REQUEST MATT COORDINATE TRAINING FOR JANUARY 7TH WORKSESSION BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL.
Matt North will prepare an outline of training items to be discussed and Committee members will review the contents prior to the training date.
VOTE: YES. NON OBJECTION. UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
Motion carried.
WYTHE/NORTH – MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO CITY COUNCIL THAT THE PERMANENT FUND COMMITTEE IS INCLUDED IN THE INTERVIEW AND SCORING PROCESS OF THE THREE PROPOSERS.
VOTE: YES. NON OBJECTION. UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
Motion carried.
