Permanent Fund Committee Meeting Minutes October 11, 2007

Session 07-04 a Regular Meeting of the Permanent Fund Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m. on October 11, 2007 by Dennis Novak at the Homer City Hall Cowles Council Chambers located at 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska.

The agenda was approved by consensus of the Committee.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The regular meeting minutes of May 10 and September 13 and special meeting minutes of September 27, 2007 were approved by consensus of the Committee.

PENDING BUSINESS

A. Request for Proposal – Permanent Fund Investment Program

City Manager Wrede discussed the draft RFP with the Committee. City Attorney Tans reviewed the document and made suggested changes, mainly for clarification. The Committee explained the intent of the Request for Proposal to City Manager Wrede. The perimeters of investing options were left open to see what type of proposals were submitted.

The Committee reviewed the draft RFP that included comments from City Attorney Tans and agreed to minor revisions. City Manager Wrede agreed to provide the Committee with a final RFP prior to the advertising deadline.

WYTHE/NOVAK – MOVED TO TURN THE RFP DRAFT TO STAFF AND COMMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED BACK TO US BEFORE PUBLISHED.

There was no discussion.

VOTE: YES. NON OBJECTION. UNANIMOUS CONSENT.

Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS

A. 2008 Meeting Schedule

WYTHE/NOVAK – MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2008 MEETING SCHEDULE.

There was no discussion.

VOTE: YES. NON OBJECTION. UNANIMOUS CONSENT.

Motion carried.

By consensus the Committee rescheduled the regular November meeting to Thursday, November 15, 2007.
