Polls Open Aug 21 for AK's Primary Election
The State of Alaska’s 2018 Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.
If you are voting absentee, here are some deadlines to keep in mind:
- Absentee in Person voting for the 2018 Primary Election opened Monday, August 6, 2018. Registered voters in Precincts 29 through 32 can cast their vote during regular business hours in the downstairs lobby at the City Clerk's office.
- Absentee electronic transmission ballots being returned by-fax must be received by 8:00 pm Alaska Standard Time Election Day - Tuesday August 21, 2018
- Absentee ballots being returned by-mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day - Tuesday August 21, 2018
- Deadline to receive absentee ballots returned by-mail from voters from within the U.S., U.S. territories and overseas - Friday August 31, 2018
