Public Safety Building Review Committee Worksession

This is an onsite Worksession of the committee scheduled to formulate a redesign of the project placement on the site using elements of the HERC building for the new Police Department Phase of the project.

Meeting will be from 8:00 am until 11:00 a.m. at the HERC facility, upper parking lot on Woodside Avenue.

Lunch Break (On own) 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

1:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The meeting will conclude at City Hall Conference Room.

Conversations with a City Council Member - Tuesday, May 13th

Join us for the last "Conversation with a Council Member" of the season with Jason Davis on Tuesday, May 13th from noon to 1:00 pm at the Homer Public Library.

Thanks to the Friends of the Homer Public Library for hosting these!  You've created a valuable space for dialogue in a relaxed setting that makes local government more accessible. Thanks, too, to all residents who have taken time to share conversation throughout the winter.  Conversations will resume again in September!

KBBI General Manager Recognized for 35 Years of Devoted Service to the Homer Community

Dave Anderson Receives Mayor's Recognition at March 29th City Council Meeting

 

On the eve of his retirement as General Manager of KBBI Radio, Mayor Beth Wythe recognized Dave Anderson at the March 29th City Council Meeting for his 35 years of devoted service to KBBI and the community.  Dave’s work began as a volunteer DJ in 1981.  In the years since he has served in nearly every staff position at the station, including also serving as general manager for KDLL public radio in Kenai.

Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Board

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Advisory Board was established by Ordinance 22-53(A) (Resolution 16-019 previously established the advisory body as a standing committee known as the ADA Compliance Committee) with the goal of the City working to comply with Title II of the ADA that covers programs, activities and services of public entities.  Title II requires that public entities with 50 or more employees are required to develop a grievance procedure, designate an individual to oversee Title II  compliance, perform a self evaluation, and develop a transition plan.
