Join the Friends of the Library for a showcase of Homer's most beloved poetry, inspired by the Favorite Poem Project!

This event features multiple Homer readers of all ages, each sharing a poem that has touched their life. Come find your new favorite poem!

The City of Homer has been working with the Kenai Peninsula Borough and other cities on the Peninsula to complete a Comprehensive Action Plan with a goal to help reduce serious injuries and traffic fatalities on our roads. 

The plan follows the Safe System Approach National Roadway Safety Strategy developed by the United States Department of Transportation and is intended to help us understand the causes and contributing factors, and identify opportunities to improve safety, especially for areas of highest concern.

The Homer Public Library will be CLOSED for Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 17th. Normal hours resume Tuesday, February 18th.
