Commercial Cannabis

The City Council adopted Ordinance 16-04(A-2)(S-3) on March 14, 2016, amending the Homer City Code to identify the Zoning Districts Permitting Marijuana Facilities and adopting Homer City Code Chapter 21.62 Marijuana Facilities, regarding general land use requirements for marijuana cultivation, manufacturing, testing, and retail facilities. 

Please review the Commercial Cannabis Map to see areas of the city that allow/disallow commercial cannabis businesses. Contact the Planning department for more information or with any questions about zoning requirements. Please note that City requirements are in addition to any State of Alaska regulations.
