Homer Comprehensive Plan Update
The City of Homer has adopted the 2045 Comprehensive Plan Update!
Homer City Council adopted the plan at its November 24, 2025 meeting by Ordinance 25-64. The Final 2045 Comprehensive Plan Update adopted by the City Council will be posted on the City website in early December.
On March 17, 2026 the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly unanimously approved the adoption of the 2045 Homer Comprehensive Plan. In next steps, the City will be updating the City website, printing hard copies, and updating relevant forms and applications.
We’d like to thank the community for their input, ensuring the Comprehensive Plan reflects the vision of its residents. This was a two-year planning effort built through collaboration, conversation, dedication, and a lot of hard work.
