Join us for a Presentation on Landslide Hazard Mitigation

Large mudslide through forest slope into city of Ketchikan in August 2024

  • what do we know about this hazard locally?
  • how can we find out more about it?
  • what can we do as a community to manage landslide hazards here?

Dr. Brentwood "Hig" Higman of Ground Truth Trekking, Dr. Anna Liljedahl of Woodwell Climate Research Center, and other researchers will present their findings and ideas on how to live more safely in a moving terrain.
