Incorporating Art on the Homer Spit Trail Project, Phase II
on the Homer Spit, Homer, Alaska

Proposals to incorporate art in the “gateway area” intersection of Freightdock Road and Homer Spit Road on the Homer Spit Trail Project, Phase II on the Homer Spit, will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, City of Homer, 491 East Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska, until Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. The time of receipt will be determined by the City Clerk’s time stamp. Proposals received after the time fixed for the receipt of the bids shall not be considered. Requests for Proposal/Instructions for Proposers containing proposal format and evaluation criteria are available on the City’s website. All bidders must submit a City of Homer Plan Holders Registration form to be on the Plan Holders List and to be considered responsive. Plan holder registration forms, and Plans and Specifications are available on line at http://www.cityofhomer-ak.gov/rfps

This is a re-advertisement of the Request for Proposals and only one location is being offered. Artists are encouraged to submit one or more concepts or proposals for this location.  

The intent of this proposal effort is to provide an opportunity for artists and other interested persons to present ideas on how and what art can be incorporated into the specified location on the Homer Spit Trail Project, Phase II.  The proposals will be evaluated by an Art Selection Committee utilizing the City’s 1% for Art Funding designated for this project.  All ideas and concepts will be considered.
