Sealed Bids for Homer Small Works Road Repair Project will be received by the Office of the City Clerk, 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska 99603 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened.  Bids received after the time fixed for receipt of the Bid shall not be considered. All bidders must submit a City of Homer Plan Holders Registration form to be on the Plan Holders List to be considered responsive. Plan holder registration forms and Plan and Specification are available online at http://www.cityofhomer-ak.gov/rfps

A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the Cowles Council Chambers located at City Hall 491 E Pioneer Avenue Homer, Alaska 99603. A Site Visit will immediately follow. The Pre Bid Meeting will be conducted simultaneously via Zoom.

The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and other facilities necessary to repair various road sections in the City of Homer. The work includes, but is not limited to the following:

Excavation and replacement of unsuitable material in gravel road beds to mitigate the potential for frost boils. This will be an Indefinite Duration, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract; that is, the City will designate specific road sections, which will require varying quantities of excavation and backfill as well as time required to complete the work.  The Contractor will be compensated for the actual quantities of work performed.
