Lake Street Water Main Break Fixed

Yesterday, City of Homer Public Works equipment operators and Water/Sewer operators responded to a water main break on Lake Street in Homer.  The break was first reported to Public Works at 1:30 pm by a citizen who noticed water coming out of the ground across the street from Ulmer’s.  A line monitoring check confirmed the break, showing water flowing at 350 gallons per minute.

The project consists of providing governmental accounting expertise regarding the Homer Accelerated Water and Sewer Projects (HAWSP) fund.  The work includes, but is not limited to the following:

Council Adopts the 2020-2025 Capital Improvement Plan

At the September 23rd City Council Meeting, Council adopted the 2020-2025 Capital Improvement Plan, or CIP for short.

Attached is the City of Homer's 2020-2025 Capital Improvement Plan, or CIP for short.  

The CIP provides information on capital projects identified as priorities for the Homer community.  The projects included in the City of Homer’s CIP were compiled with input from the public, area-wide agencies, and City staff, as well as various advisory commissions serving the City of Homer.

Descriptions of City projects include ways the project will benefit the community, cost and schedule information and a priority designation Level 1 (highest), 2 or 3.
