City of Homer All-Hazard Mitigation Plan
Attached here is the City of Homer All-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Mitigation is the effort to reduce loss of life and property by lessening community and individual vulnerability to, as well as the economic and emotional costs of hazards before they occur.
The process of developing the plan brings community members and local and regional leaders together to understand risks from natural hazards and develop long-term strategies that will reduce the impacts of future events on people, property, and the environment.
This All-Hazards Mitigation Plan provides the steps to take before a disaster that can help reduce impacts when a disaster occurs and is incorporated into the Kenai Peninsula Borough and State of Alaska strategies.
