The City of Homer is honored to be hosting the 44th Semi-Annual Pacific Coast Congress of Harbormasters and Port Managers Conference (PCC) September 11-14th .

The conference brings together representatives from several ports and harbors from California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and the Canadian province of British Columbia, Canada, as well as representatives from several industry related professional services and vendors.  It also features several industry specific courses, host-port tours, networking sessions, the association’s business meetings, and a gala banquet -- all taking place on the Spit and at Lands End Resort.

Since its founding in 1974 in Newport, Oregon the Pacific Coast Congress of Harbormasters and Port Managers has grown from a modest group of seven people to over 150 members. PCC members realize that no matter how large or how small a marina or port is, the problems and the underlying causes are the same — some just have to deal with them on a larger scale. The meetings provide an opportunity for sharing experiences, problems and their solutions, and for hands-on education and networking.
