Port of Homer Parking
Parking Permits are available for purchase online
You can purchase a parking permit online at https://www.tocite.net/homerak/Portal#. We no longer require the display of a physical permit in their vehicle.
Parking Fee Structure Update
In 2024, prices for parking permits were reduced to $150 per vehicle. Please ensure that you are purchasing the correct permit-- the fee-pay seasonal permit covers the use of the $10-per-day lots, while the Long-Term Annual permit covers storage of a vehicle for longer than 7 days in the designated long-term parking areas.
Parking spaces adjacent to the Ramp 2 Restroom, previously designated as passenger bus loading zones, have been converted to 1-hour, providing parking spaces designed for people needing short-term access to the harbor to check on a vessel or drop-off passengers.
All of the angled parking spaces on the west side of Homer Spit Road are limited to 3-hour parking and remain free or at no charge.
After parking for seven consecutive days, vehicles must be removed from City property for a minimum of 24 hours before becoming eligible to resume free parking status. Otherwise, it is necessary to purchase a long-term parking permit. Noncompliant vehicles are subject to citation. See the Port & Harbor Facilities Vehicle Parking Map (PDF) for designated parking areas.
Parking Regulations
From May 1 through October 1, boat trailers parked on City-owned property for more than seven consecutive 24-hour days are subject to citation and/or impounding. Private parking areas for boat trailers are available at local boat yards.
Vehicles exceeding 20’ in length and RVs are prohibited to park on the east side of Homer Spit Road between ramps 3 and 5. A dedicated parking lot for vehicles exceeding 20’ in length and RVs, known as the Whale Lot, is located at the intersection of Homer Spit & Outer Dock Roads.
See below for information on monthly and long-term parking available for oversize vehicles.
Annual and Monthly Long-Term Parking Permit
Long-term means vehicles that are parked anywhere in the port facility in excess of seven consecutive days. Annual, monthly, and weekly permits are available for vehicles under 20 feet. Only monthly and weekly permits are available for vehicles over 20 feet or RVs. Oversized vehicles and RVs are required to use the Whale Lot for long-term parking.
Annual permits are valid from January 1 to December 31. Monthly permits are 30 consecutive days. Weekly permits are 7 consecutive days. To purchase a permit online, go to https://www.tocite.net/homerak/Portal#
- Regular annual price: $150, only available to vehicles less than 20 feet
- Discounted annual price for vessel owners that have a reserved stall or pay transient annual moorage: $100

See the Port & Harbor Facilities Vehicle Parking Map (PDF) designating seasonal restricted areas from May 1 to October 1.
