Covered Operator Agreement
Covered Operators are defined as an employee or any authorized person under a Commercial User/Permit Holder Agreement. Commercial entities are responsible for ensuring that all of their employees who will operate the cranes complete this form and follow the steps below to be an authorized crane operator under their permit.
- Complete Training at Home/Workplace – All crane operators (employees or any authorized person under Commercial User) will have to complete the City of Homer’s authorized ONLINE training program, provided by Hard Hat Training, at https://hardhattraining.com/safety-training/pedestal-crane-online-training/ (First-time only). The cost is $79.00 and will be paid by the operator or permit holder (not the City of Homer). Upon completion, a certificate must be printed to verify training.
- Receive Training at Fish Dock
a.) Bring online Training Certificate and Driver’s License or official ID.
b.) Read, complete, and sign the Covered Operator Crane Agreement & Indemnification.
c.) Complete a proficiency training session with Fish Dock personnel on the Fish Dock cranes.
