Reserve a Pavilion on the Homer Spit

Two facilities are available to reserve on the Homer Spit: the gazebo at Mariner Park, and the Kachemak Bay Water Trail Pavilion at the Fishing Hole Campground. The Boathouse Pavilion does not take reservations and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis to any event or activity that is open to the public. To reserve other facilities in city parks, visit this page.

The cost to reserve a City pavilion is $25 per 4-hour block.

Large-scale public events may require a Special Event Permit; you can fill out the interactive questionnaire on the Special Event Permit Information Page to determine whether one is needed.

When the above mentioned facilities are not reserved by a private group or event  (represented by a posted sign with the date and time of the reservation), any person is free to use them at no cost on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Any event sanctioned by the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is exempt from reservation fees.

To reserve one of the pavilions:

  1. Fill out and submit your reservation request on the form below. If you cannot submit a form, please call 907-235-3160 or email port@ci.homer.ak.us.
  2. Port staff will contact applicants within two business days to process payment.

To modify or cancel a reservation after it is confirmed, please call Port staff at (907) 235-3160

Please refer to the spit pavilion calendar to check the availability for your event. If you see a note on a specific date or time, it means that the pavilion is already reserved. To find available dates and times, please look for blank or empty slots on the calendars.
