Tsunami Hazard Study
The tsunami inundation maps for Homer and Seldovia were updated in 2018 by the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources Division of Geological and Geophysical Surveys.
The study and maps for Homer's Downtown and the Homer Spit are available under "Supporting Documents" below. The original documents hosted by the State can be accessed at the link under "Web Links" below.
The Alaska Earthquake Center's interactive map is another way to to see the maximum inundation zone as identified in the study. Click "Homer" from the list of towns on the right side.
For more information about Tsunami Evacuation, see the Tsunami Danger Zone and Evacuation Route webpage.
